Destination Dance NYC 2026: What a Weekend!

There is something magical about dancing in New York City.

From September 4–6, Destination Dance returned to NYC for a weekend filled with movement, music, incredible teachers, new challenges, laughter, and a whole lot of joy.

And what a weekend it was.

More Than Just Dance Classes

Destination Dance has always been about more than taking class.

It’s about stepping away from everyday life for a few days and giving yourself permission to move, explore, learn, travel, and connect.

Our dancers came together in New York from different backgrounds and levels of experience, but once the music started, none of that mattered. We were simply a room full of people who love to dance.

Throughout the weekend, our incredible faculty shared their choreography, knowledge, artistry, and energy. Our participants showed up ready to work, play, take risks, and try something new.

There was some seriously wonderful dancing happening in those rooms!

But some of our favorite moments were the ones between the combinations—the laughter, conversations, encouragement, friendships, and that unmistakable energy that happens when a group of people shares something they genuinely love.

Dancing Through NYC

And, of course, part of Destination Dance is the destination.

There is nothing quite like finishing a day of dancing and then stepping out onto the streets of New York City.

Broadway. Great food. Walking the city. Exploring neighborhoods. Catching up over dinner. And probably waking up the next morning a little sore before doing it all over again.

It’s all part of the experience.

We created Destination Dance because we believe adults deserve opportunities like this: experiences that combine dance with travel, community, adventure, and a little escape from the everyday.

NYC reminded us exactly why we continue to do it.

Thank You, NYC

To everyone who joined us September 4–6: thank you.

Thank you for trusting us with your weekend.

Thank you for bringing your energy into the room.

Thank you for supporting our faculty and one another.

Thank you for dancing full-out, laughing loudly, trying new things, and helping create such a welcoming community.

Most of all, thank you for reminding us that dance can continue to be part of our lives at every age and every stage.

We left New York tired, inspired, grateful…and already dreaming about the next adventure.

Next Stop: Los Angeles!

We’re heading west!

Destination Dance Los Angeles returns February 5–7, 2027.

We’re already working on the weekend, faculty, classes, and experiences—and we can’t wait to share what’s coming.

More details soon.

Until then, keep dancing. Keep traveling. Keep finding the things that bring you joy.

Life MOVES.
